I’ve always wanted to play the Opera House. I’ve VJd there, and helped with some events, but hadn’t played on that lovely stage until I got a message from Spacker telling me 4 hours before the show that we were playing that night. Bizarre, fabulous, random, amazing! The gal working lights that night is incredibly talented. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lorEEsH7jKc (Holy crap, Jackie shreds here!)

In April, Doug and I were interviewed for See Rock Live, and by “interviewed” I mean that we just yattered, as we do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jEsizrWA58

In May we released “The Booty Sessions” - 7 versions of Mississauga Booty Call, including Transylvania Booty Call, Orion Slave Girl Booty Call, and North Pole Christmas Booty Call.
Available for purchase here: https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/highheelslofi7 and on iTunes

In July, Spacker Dave announced that he would be moving to California to be with his darling lady. We thank him for his two years on this deranged project. At his last show in July, we held “live auditions” with a few bass players, mainly as a joke. But Mark Watts was a such a sassy player and good dude that we had to keep him. He shall forever after be known as “the New Kid” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tk2JBqZImbg

Here’s video of his first real show with us, titled, “New Kid Fail”. Yeah, we’re mean. But funny is funny.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOCopEan6Tg

We played Indie Week in November, and got a half decent recording of our fairly new song, “Bad Girls”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KluX-txJGjg

On December First we posted a Christmas Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ6G35uR1qw

Around December 20th was the 11th anniversary of when I came up with the name High Heels Lo Fi. Wow. Time flies. It’s amazing how much this project has evolved.

On Wed. Dec. 27th we did our first live online show (and dorked around) at http://twitch.tv/highheelslofi  If you didn’t catch it - no worries. There will be many more!

We posted the 13 Days of Drinkmas at http://highheelslofi.com/13.html Check out our drink suggestions and recipes, especially those from Doug AKA “Canada’s Deadliest Bartender”.

We had band toques made, and now our demented brains are cosy and warm! We have a few left - they’re super soft, black with hot pink logo, and only $20.

THANK YOU to all of you lovely people who come out to shows, check us out online, share our links, and dig our energy. Your entertainment is the reason we haul gear in the freezing cold at 4am, sweat our butts off on stage, practice until far past our bedtimes, and are always brainstorming new things. Without rock & roll people, we have no point.
THANK YOU to Doug Lea, Jackie Moore, Spacker Dave Vestaloyne, and Mark Watts for giving their time and energy to making this band even better through 2017.
THANK YOU to Mike Bryant for recording our EP, and sound teching our first Twitch show. THANK YOU to our High Lo Go Gos for shaking their cute duffs on stage! (especially Kelly Robotham, Pixie Kostr, Magdalena BB) THANK YOU to everyone who books us for shows! (especially Matt Groopie, Tina Sixx)

What are we planning for 2018?
New songs, new recordings, more live online concerts, a talk show, and more! We will be playing at Cherry Cola’s on Tuesday February 13th for the Crapnation Issue #7 launch party. Since it is the day before Valentine's, expect some unusual love songs.

Love, Hugs, and ROCK & ROLL FOREVER!
~ Cynthia
